Every soldier has a first post.
In 1997 it was a military base in the very first Grand Theft Auto, raided for a box of top-secret files. In 2026 it is printed on Jason Duval's army shirt: Marauder Combat Training School, North Fort Law. Same post, twenty-nine years apart.

The base. The school. The mark.A post from Rockstar's first game, printed on Jason's shirt and inked on his skin.
CANON marks what Rockstar has shown. LORE marks the story this community tells to fill the gaps. When the game answers, we update the file.
On the north side of Fort Law, in the state of New Guernsey, stood a military base behind barriers that only opened for police cars and ambulances. Inside sat a tank with a cannon that didn't fire. Nobody got in without a reason.
Somebody found a reason. A man named Mason broke in and walked out with top-secret files: aliens, the Kennedys, the CIA, the NSA. Two soldiers chased him to the gate. The files left North Fort Law that night.
They never came back. The base kept guarding what it had left, and it learned to train people who could keep a secret.
Jason Duval grew up around hustlers and crooks, where every rule was a suggestion. He walked through the gate at North Fort Law with one bag and no plan. For the first time in his life, someone else set the rules, and he followed them.
Marauder Combat Training School. The diamond on the shirt is earned, not issued. They taught him to move at night, to jump, to stay quiet.
The ones who finished got the mark. A skull in a beret, an open parachute behind it, and one word on the banner: MARAUDER. The shirt fades. The ink doesn't. Jason still carries it on his shoulder.
Black water, night vision, two men beside him and a rifle in his hands. Whatever happened out there, it was the last operation Jason ran in uniform.
Jason admits it himself: his army days did not end well. He doesn't say why. North Fort Law has kept a secret before. It is keeping this one too.
Now he polishes other men's boats at Brian Heder's marina and wants an easy life. Things keep getting harder. And every morning he still pulls on the same grey shirt.
